On occasion, beauty emerges from flooded waters.

After a widespread flood event in Brisbane, our clients looked to the silver lining, taking the opportunity to bring forward a long-standing goal: the lower-level renovation of their Ascot property.

With an expanding family and visitors in mind, we reimagined the liveability of the home, adding a master bedroom, rumpus, study, lounge, kitchenette and two bedrooms. Thoughtful design integration means the lower level feels like a distinct, separate living space while still flowing with the main home.

Visualising a fluid family space, we melded practicality with a family-friendly design aesthetic. Balancing form and function, the custom joinery conceals a compact kitchenette, ensuring the space is ready to welcome guests without compromising on the clean lines of the space.

Beautiful curving terrazzo, tiling and timber accent the neutral colour palette, which maximises the natural light, while pops of colour have been used creatively to inject the space with a vibrancy that reflects the young family.
